Eastern Europe refers to geographical regions in Europe east and southeast of Germany; In meanings encompassing political or economic overtones, the term is one that applies to the geopolitical region encompassing the eastern part of the European continent, which until the late 20th century were dominated by the now defunct Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

The term Eastern Europe was largely defined during the Cold War, and used more or less synonymously with Eastern Bloc and Second World, it still remains in use. However, two decades after the demolition of the Iron Curtain, it is argued that the term is becoming increasingly outdated due to its Cold War era connotations that suggest alienating stereotypes of Soviet-style economic, political and cultural development.

In Eastern Europe only, what countries have the most forward men and which do not?
Q. I'm only speaking specifically about Eastern Europe and nowhere else. By "forward" I am of course talking about which country(s) are you most likely to get hit on by a man (if you're a woman)? And which country(s) are the least likely you'll never get asked to go back to their place. Thanks all.

A. I haven't met all nationalities but guys from Poland and Albania has been the most forward towards me. The least has been Belarus and Ukraine. But that could all be because of personalities rather than country of origin.

Why did the Soviets establish control over most of Eastern Europe at the end of World War II?
Q. If you don't know the answer, I found an answer but I don't get it: "Soviet armies occupied Eastern Europe as they pursued the defeated German forces at the end of World War II. The insistence upon establishing governments hand-picked by the Russians in those areas, and especially in Poland, was one of the reasons for the development of the Cold War. " Can you help me say it in my own words? oops when i said "my own words" i mean just different wording. i don't want to sound like i copied it from somewhere...haha.

A. The most simple way to put it is that the Soviets were afraid of more attacks from Germany (they had already been attacked twice within that century, plus they had been attacked by other Western European powers in previous centuries (i.e. Napoleon), and wanted a sort of "buffer" zone, or satellite countries to protect them from Western European aggression. There is A LOT more to this, but for your purposes, this should suffice.
