It should state 'certified organic' somewhere on the package, label, or sticker as demanded by the FDA. Answered by Sarah C - Mon May 19 12:11:52 2008 What do you believe are unethical banking practices? Q. I believe it is wrong for a bank to automatically withdraw funds from a person's account for a transaction but then wait 5 days for a deposit on ths person's account to clear before usage of such funds can occur. Does this practice seem a bit unbalanced? what other banking practices do you think are unfair? Asked by londondreamer2 - Sat Aug 4 17:03:45 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. some of the overdraft fees and low balance fees are rediculously high. For example, my friend says he had a $30 low balance fee...??? Gimme a break, I'm not even earning that much interest in one year. They take it out when your balance drops AND for each month it remains under the minimum balance! But honestly, if you keep enough money in your account you should be fine. Also, all you have to do is read the account agreement, or you can call customer service and just ask them. It is boring but you should be able to find out what you need to know. If however, something isn't mentioned in that book or by the call center rep, then yes that policy or fee is unethical. Answered by dan - Sat Aug 4 17:14:52 2007 What is appropriate agency to report cell phone company to for deceptive practices?
Q. My son went to the store to switch cell phones (fairly new one was defective), text messaging was removed by store employee on the day of switch-over (without our knowledge) and nothing was put in its place. $600 later (yes, he texts a lot but we had unlimited) company will not assume responsibility when it was their representatives fault. They have offered me a $40 credit - ha. In my opinion these are fraudulent & deceptive practices. I intend to take this as far as I have to but am not really sure where to start. FTC? Any advice? I will probably file a small claims against them as well. Asked by shelleevee - Mon Oct 1 19:24:40 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. The Better Business Bureau can probably settle this for you. I have had similar run-ins and was able to solve them by continuing up the ladder until I reached someone with both sense and authority. The FCC and Consumer Protection Agency may both be a good resource if the BBB can't get you satisfaction, but as always, this private agency is going to be faster and more effective than any bloated tax payer funded agency.
