If roots are growing out under the pots they need more soil to grow in, They are root bound and will soon die if you don't correct the problem. Maybe the pots are big enough you just set plants to close to the bottum. Maybe you can use the same pots and replant closer to the top with potting soil added to give the roots more room. Q. I have grown about 5 different groups of aerogarden herbs. I absolutely love the invention. No tougher on the plant than pinching a leaf for cooking. It will slow the plants growth but it sounds like it needs it. Root pruning is part of bonsai and to control some landscape plants.
