Generally social refers to the way ordinary people live their lives. Social includes, entertainment, clothing, fads, fashions, civil rights, trends, patterns, and demographics. Political refers to the decisions our elected officials make on any number of topics. Religion included. Generally discussing religion refers to social issues more than political issues however.
